Important Advice to Muslim Youth
Verily, one of the most important matters that people should be advised about, and that people should strive to achieve, is the fear of Allah, both publicly and in secret, and dedicating themselves to this Religion, which Allah is pleased with for His slaves, and which Allah has honoured them with. Allah does not accept from anyone any religion other than it. He is pleased with Islam as a Reilgion for us. And he has made the Nation of Muhammed (PBUH) the best nation that has com out to mankind: It enjoins good, forbids evil, establishes justice, invites unto Allah, and spreads the message of Islam, in order to bring people out of darkness and into the light. Indeed, the first thing that every Muslim should pay attention to is acting with the knowledge that Allah is watching him when he is alone - when he is in his house, out in the desert, or in the masjid. How are hid dealings with his creator? Are his dealings with Him the same when he is alone as when he is out in public? Does he care about the affairs of the Muslims? Does he feel himself a strong desire to guide other people? Does he feel pain for what happens in the Muslim Nation, such that the following saying of the Chosen One applies to him: "The example of the Muslims in their mutal love, mercy, and compassion is the example of a single body: If a part (or limb) of it becomes sick, the rest of the [parts of the] boy call one another [to share in the sickness] with sleeplessness and fever."
I advise the youth to read a lot from the books of our pious predecessors. One should refer to their sayings, consult the people of knowledge, and return to a way that eads to safety. |
