Jealousy and Its cure

O Muslims, among the most dangerous of diseases is one that causes the destruction of the Muslim society. It tears Muslim society apart. It is the diease of jealousy. It is an incruable and destructive disease. If it attacks a person, it destroys him. It is a dangerous disease that our Lord warned us about and that our Prophet (PBUH) warned us about. It is the disese of jealousy. The presence of vile jealousy in a person points to a vile soul and to that person's true intentions. Jealousy blinds the soul, and is able to exist as a result of weak Faith in a person's heart. Jealousy is a trial and a disease which kills its host, destroying him in a way he did not anticipate. His nights are filled with grief and unhappiness, and his days are filled with regret and anxiety. O Muslim, what does it mean to be jealous? It means that a person wants removed a blessing with Allah has bestowed upon someone from His creation - be it a Religious or worldly blessing. The jealous person wants that blessing to be removed, regardless of whether he wants that blessing to be transfered to himself, or to be simply removed from the other person, even if it is transfered to some third person. My Muslim brother, the disease of jealousy is a lethal and dangerous disease. Jealousy is from the charachteristic of Iblees, who was jealous of our father adam, when Allah created him with His Hand, made the angels perform prostration to him, and provided him with the adobe in Paradise.

O Muslim, jealousy is a charachteristic of the enemies of Islam They are jealous of the Nation because of the great blessings that Allah has bestowed upon it, in terms of the Noble Prophet (PBUH), this glorious Qur'an, and this complete Religious set of laws with which Allah has completed His favour upon the Nation.
