One of the earliest converts to Islam and supporters of Prophet Muhammad(saw) was his cousin Az-Zubair bin al-Awwam He accepted Islam when he was only fifteen years old, in spite of the small number of Muslims at that time. He grew up to be a great hero and warrior for the cause of the Muslims. He was considered one of the senior Companions of the Prophet(saw), and was one of the ten whom the Prophet(saw) publicly promised entry into Paradise.

Due to his enthusiasm and eagerness to support the Prophet(saw) and his readiness to carry out the Prophets orders, the Prophet(saw) said "Every Prophet has a disciple. My disciple is Az-Zubair."
