Sahih-Al-Bukhari is the second-most reliable source of information after the Book of Allah (the Quran). Before recording any hadith in this book, Imam Bukhari offered two Rakats in supplication to Allah for guidance, and he only did so after being certain of the hadith's veracity. Everyone agrees that Imam Bukhari's book is the most authentic of all.

Tremendous amounts of errors exist in the translations by other translators. To eliminate the problem Dar-us-Salam spent over 3 years in the publication of this book and presented a book which is translated into English in a very easy & simple language, so that all readers can understand it without difficulty.
This is the unabridged version consisting of 7563 ahadith (about 4000 pages) which are presented neatly in smaller books format and printed on fine paper. Each book (subtopics in each volume categorized by very broad topics such as the Book of As-Salat) contains many chapters which represent one logical unit of Ahadith. Each book contains anywhere from one to 150 chapters with each chapter containing several Ahadith. This book will be a great addition to your library while giving you a true perspective on the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH).  Covers almost all aspects of life in providing proper guidance from the messenger.  The Text of Sahih Al-Bukhari used for this translation is taken from Fath Al-Bari published by the Egyptian Press of Mustafa Al-Babi Al-Halabi, 1959 (1378 A.H.).


About Imam Bukhar Imam al-Bukhari is one of the most eminent of those pious Scholars. Hadrat Imam Abu `Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari was born in Shawwal, 194AH, in the famous city of Bukhara, of the land "beyond the canal" - present day Uzbekistan -. The father of Imam Bukhari, Isma`il ibn Ibrahim ibn Mughirah al-Ja`fi, was a great muhaddith and ascetic from whom he inherited his characteristics of literary zeal and excellence. During his childhood his father died and his mother took on the entire responsibility of bringing him up.

Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan is the Translator of The Noble Quran, Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-lulu wal Margan and many other books 2. Due to the non-existence of appropriate and equivalent English words for many Arabic words, those words have been transliterated and an explanation has been given after each word immediately when it occurs for the first time and a glossary of such words has been compiled at the beginning of each volume. Certain religious formulas and invocations are also transliterated.
